What are ReCODE and PreCODE?

ReCODE is the acronyms of Reversal of Cognitive Decline; PreCODE is the acronyms of Prevention of Cognitive Decline.

Apollo Health’s PreCODE  and /or ReCODE are personalized protocol programs, guided by Dr. Dale Bredesen. Thus, PreCODE and ReCODE are uniquely called Bredesen Protocol.

Who can participate at PreCODE ?

The PreCODE Program is designed to prevent cognitive decline and is perfect for adults of any age with family history of dementia, risk factors such as pre-diabetes or inflammation, and for all of us who are over 45 years of age and who would like to optimize their brain health and prevent cognitive decline.

Who can participate at ReCODE?

ReCODE program delivers personalized information and resources for those experiencing cognitive decline associated with subjective cognitive impairment (SCI), mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and early Alzheimer’s disease and who are seeking a reversal of symptoms and brain health optimization with the Bredesen Protocol.

Risk Factors Cognoscopy

Dr. Bredesen said: “Think about it like 36 holes in the roof,  you can’t just plug one hole.” That means no any one drug treats cognitive decline and/or Alzheimer’s disease. Comprehensive therapy program must be implemented. Each program helps you identify each potential contributors – risk factors, including 36 interventions that were assembled for each patient, based on extensive testing (blood, urine, genes), as well as personal preferred cognitive assessment. As with other chronic illnesses like heart disease and cancer, cognitive changes might be due to an array of contributing imbalances–an “extensive network of molecular interactions,” according to Bredesen’s paper, “Reversal of Cognitive Decline: A Novel Therapeutic Program,” published in the September 2014 Aging.

Age is the primary risk factor for cognitive decline. As aging, the metabolic function is getting slow, which impacts for brain function.  In addition to aging, other risk factors include family history-DNA genes, metabolic syndrome, inflammation, apnea, hypoxygen, education level, brain injury, exposure to pesticides or toxins, physical inactivity, etc. Many chronic conditions are associated with cognitive decline, such as Parkinson’s disease, MS, heart disease and stroke, osteoporosis, thyroid dysfunction, and diabetes . Insulin has been shown to play a role in plasticity, the brain’s ability to respond to a myriad of chemicals and other forces from within and outside the body.  Individuals with increased insulin levels or insulin resistance, associated with Type 2 diabetes, have a higher risk for Alzheimer’s disease.

A cognoscopy is a term coined by Dr. Bredesen, that refers to a simple assessment, which uses a combination of laboratory and cognitive testing that identifies the contributors to cognitive decline or risk for decline. We all know that, when we turn 50 years old, we should have a colonoscopy, so that we can detect and treat colon cancer early, thus avoiding advanced, life-threatening cancer.  But what about our brains?  Just as with colon cancer, the pathology behind neurodegeneration, including Alzheimer’s, takes many years — often decades to develop, providing for an extended prodromal period in which we can effectively intervene.  The good news is that we can now check our risk and intervene as early as possible to identify if we have emerging contributors that are silently contributing to neurodegenerative pathology.

How to Participate at the Program?

Option 1:  You can go to Apollo Health website: https://www.apollohealthco.com/know-your-cq/ to do the Cq Assessment. If you get low score, you can sign in PreCODE  program. If you already diagnosed for MCI or Alzheimer’s disease, you can sign in ReCODE program.

Option 2:  If you have language bar or some other reason, you can directly contact me as your specialized nutritionist. I will help you to manage the whole program process. We work together to fight Alzheimer’s disease as a rarely disease in the future.

ReCODE PreCODE

怎样参加PreCODE/ReCODE计划?

Wechat: sally9559; Email: sally_tng@yahoo.com.
